Today, the sky blooms with colours,
vibrant hues spilling onto a canvas,
each shade a whisper of hope,
painted by storms we traversed,
the shadows of our past entwined with light.
You chase your own rainbows now,
an adult on your own adventures.
Every step you take is a brushstroke,
bold strokes against the gentle palette of life.
Yet in my heart lingers an echo;
a quiet reminder that love grows larger than absence,
in the laughter that fills empty spaces,
in every dream built upon fragile wings.
Life is lived amidst whispers of grief;
your spark, a burst of brilliant colour after the rain
the promise I hold onto delicately, eternally.
As we celebrate today’s rainbow day:
I gather memories like petals fallen from trees;
soft and delicate yet filled with strength,
with every smile that dances on your lips.
There they are, your brothers who once were:
their spirits woven through time's fabric,
love as bright as stars burning with light
beyond our earthly reach yet illuminating all around.
So here we stand together beneath this vibrant archway:
Love has no boundaries, it stretches beyond skies gray and blue,
Hope unfurls like soft clouds to welcome us home,
and while their absence leaves echoes in our hearts,
it is you who is my anchor amid crashing waves.
Rainbows do not erase sorrow, they embrace it, all at once;
we weave them into the story written deep within us,
those vibrant ribbons forming paths never lost in despair
but lit anew by glimmers that dance across endless horizons.
Each year as we mark this day, you are my miracle shining bright, a testament to resilience wrapped in love,
my heart both heavy and full,
for what was then cannot fade away
underneath this radiant spectrum above;
today is yours…
forever ours...
woven from all shades....
with colours unending.
