I was asked to apply to become an exhibiting member of the Reading Guild of Artists
I knew I'd never be accepted but it wasn't a huge amount of work to apply, so I gave it a go.
Imagine my surprise when an email of congratulations landed in my inbox this afternoon.
The feedback is that they particularly appreciate my abstract paintings, like those in my Caring for Creation series. I guess the nearly 400 abstract planets I've painted weren't for nothing.
And here's another in celebration of this wonderful news.
It is so surreal to have gone from a doodler to being told I'm an artist in a couple of years. Yet still all that really matters to me is that being creative is good for my mental health.
I can't wait to see what happens as I keep writing and painting.
