Breathe in love

I recorded this for a National Anglican Pioneer Network Gathering but it is something I use all the time and find really helpful.

For our worship this morning we're going to simply breathe. We're going to still ourselves and notice our breath. Not change it or judge it or worry about it, but just notice it. And then we're going to do two simple things…. We're going to Breathe out fear And then we're going to Breathe in love Breathe out fear Breathe in love I'll share a short prayer, a few verses from 1 John 4 and then leave us to breathe for three or four minutes before sharing the short prayer again. Let's begin Breathe out fear Breathe in love God of love In every breath we release Help us release our fear and worry. In every filling of our lungs Remind us that we are filled with your perfect love. Amen 1 John 4:16 and 18 So we know the love that God has for us, and we trust that love. God is love. Everyone who lives in love lives in God, and God lives in them. Where God’s love is, there is no fear, because God’s perfect love takes away fear. Four minutes silence God of love In every breath we release Help us release our fear and worry. In every filling of our lungs Remind us that we are filled with your perfect love. Amen
