Lights Stuck On Red brings together selected poems and paintings from a collection of over 300 poems and 100 pieces of digital art that I created whilst living through the Covid-19 pandemic...
The book is divided into ten sections of poems and each section has been illustrated with an abstract painting. The poems depict the various states of lockdown experienced over 18 months between January 2020 and June 2021 in the UK. The abstract art was painted when words failed and provided a route to express my feelings beyond mere poetic words...
We don't know how long this pandemic will continue to colour our lives; however, by reflecting on what has been and how we've coped so far, might help us face what is yet to come...
